This task should take you roughly an hour, so it is two days worth of work during half term.
Green (grade 1/2) - Take your own photographic example for each of the Compositional Guidelines (Rule of Thirds, Leading Lines, Balance, Framing, Simplicity, Fill the Frame, Viewpoints/Angles). Try to be creative in your response, but you might just use one room in your house or your garden to take the photos in. You will have 7 photographs, so try to take an extra photograph for either for Balance (symmetrical and asymmetrical) or for Leading Lines (diagonal leading lines and s curve) so that you will have 8 photos to upload. Upload your photos straight onto your Weebly site using the gallery icon. Your gallery should be underneath your Composition PowerPoint.
Amber (grade 3) - Take a set of 2 photos for each compositional guideline and try to show different aspects of each guideline (e.g. symmetrical and asymmetrical for Balance or dramatic diagonals and s curves for Leading Lines ) - use the research from our lessons in school to help you to create some imaginative compositions. Upload your photos straight onto your Weebly site using the gallery icon. Your gallery should be underneath your Composition PowerPoint.
Red (grades 4+) - Take a set of 3+ photos for each compositional guideline and show different aspects of each guideline (e.g. symmetrical and asymmetrical for Balance or dramatic diagonals and s curves for Leading Lines ) - use the research from our lessons in school to help you to create some imaginative compositions.
